Led Zeppelin, II, III, IV, Houses of the Holy and Physical Graffiti The album was recorded in July 1973 at Madison Square Garden in New York City and the newJan 14, 2012 · Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. My current favorite HOTH is a mid 1970s US Monarch pressing. It's a SD7255 with a 75 Rockefeller label. Both sides are -E cuttings with "STERLING RL" in the deadwax. This copy slightly beats other US and UK "RL" copies including a US DJ promo. IMO, all the RL pressings I've heard sound good.

Mar 28, 2023 · Led Zeppelin were at such a peak while recording Houses of the Holy that they couldn’t save space for all the amazing material. Even the album’s title song had to be left on the cutting room floor, later resurfacing along with ‘The Rover’ and ‘Black Country Woman’ on the band’s follow-up, 1975’s Physical Graffiti .
